Team USA & WAGM 2023
We want to say congratulations to Team USA and their efforts at the WAGM (World Adventure Golf Masters) this past weekend. The tournament took place south of Vienna, Austria in the beautiful wine country and village of 3500 people, Gumpoldskirchen. It was a full week that included many hours of focused practice, a Parade of Nations, a locals tournament on Thursday 15th, the 3-day international tournament, and unmatched camaraderie & new friendships. Congratulations to our own Oliva Prokopová for bringing home the Gold Medal in the overall Women’s division! Also, Team USA had a Top 10 Team finish out of 22 teams! WAY TO GO! Putters League’s First Winter Classic Winner!
Early birds get the worms. We must have gotten a lot of worms as players started showing up at 7am (& 42°F) for a couple of hours of practice before the 9am kickoff! The inaugural Fall Classic tournament is complete! Congrats to Gary Hester for defending 1st place, followed by Kyle Sweatt capturing 2nd, and Jason Partyka for his 3rd place finish. Jason Partyka also won best dressed, Ariane O’dea won first place womens, and Gary Hester also was #1 in most aces (12) and lowest round (33).
